English Part 1

 Active and Passive voice 

There are no passive voice for these tense -

* Present Perfect Continuous Tense 

I have been working on this project for a week

* Past Perfect continuous Tense 

I had been running for an hour before I stopped 

* Future perfect continuous Tense 

Next year I will have been working here for four years 

* Future continuous Tense 

She will be taking her dog for a walk 

                 Subject        Object 

First            I,We          Me, Us 

Second      You             You

Third          He, She   Him, Her, 

                  It, They      It, Them

•Present Simple Tense 

Raja always plays the Vina (Active) 

The Vina is always played by Raja (Passive) 

A teacher teaches English here (Active) 

English is taught here (passive)

She plays football (active) 

Football is played by her(Passive)

•Present Continuous Tense 

The committee is looking into the matter (Active) 

The matter is being looked into by the committee (Passive) 

They are laughing at you (Active) 

You are being laughed at by them (passive) 

•Present Perfect Tense 

We have cycled 1km(active)

1km have been cycled by us (passive)

She has played football (Active)

Football has been played by her(Passive)

•Past Simple Tense 

Police arrested him (active) 

He was arrested (Passive) 

Students cleaned the classroom (active) 

The classroom was cleaned by students (passive) 

The cleaner cleaned  the room (active) 

The room was cleaned (passive)

• Past continuous Tense 

You were not taking the exam seriously (active) 

The exam was not being taken seriously by you (Passive) 

Kalidas was writting a novel (active) 

A nobel was being written by Kalidas (Passive) 

• Past perfect Tense 

The brave men had defended the city (active) 

The city had been defended by the brave men (Passive) 

The little girl had broken the window (active)

The window had been broken by the little girl (Passive) 

She had missed the last train (active) 

The last train had been missed by her (Passive)  

• Future Simple Tense 

I will not tolerate this nonsense(active)

This nonsense will not be tolerated by me (passive)

Ana will complete the homework (active) 

The homework will be completed by Ana (Passive) 

• Future perfect Tense 

He will have joined that party (active) 

That party will have been joined by him (Passive)

India will have won the match (active) 

The match will have been won by India (Passive)

                 WH Questions

Have you broken the glass? (Active)

Has the glass been broken by you ?(Passive)

Why have you broken the glass ?(Active) 

Why has the glass been broken by you (Passive) 

                    English 

Expenses between the three of us ❌

In case between  2 people always come 

Expenses between two of us ☑️

If more than 2people share something then instead of between (among will come) ☑️

Let's go out for dinner tonight . (here question tag will be Shall we? 

Rama Works hard( simple present ) Question tag will be - Doesn't he? 

He is not coming (Question tag ) Is he? 

Everyone has come (Question tag)  Haven't they.

I'm happy (Question tag) aren't I? 

Correct spelling -

Interrogation, Magistrate,Preliminary,Disciplinary

Saint life is open book - one that held no secrets

The judge turned down the plea of accused

Turned down - Rejected 

Put off - postpone 

The meeting was put off 

Put out - extinguish / Sad /disappointed 

Put out the candle 

Put down - Write down 

Put down whatever I'm saying 

Put up with - to tolerate or bear 

Put aside - Ignore, hate ,save money 

Put on - Wear /Gain /Pretend 

Put on your new dress
